Photographer Chirodeep Chaudhuri in conversation with poet and cultural theorist Ranjit Hoskote about his ongoing exhibition, ‘Seeing Time’, and about the nature of his practice of documenting, indeed chronicling the social life of objects and place. Chaudhuri’s practice is based on long-term engagements with his subjects, whether clock-towers, commuters on Mumbai’s railway routes, the typewriter, a venerable library in South Bombay, or his ancestral village in Bengal.
