How did the idea of 8688 come about?

I was born in Los Angeles and my parents live there (in an area called Palos Verdes), and Sree (Goswami; founder of Project 88) has two artists (Sandeep Mukherjee and Neha Choksi) currently based between India and LA. To exist in these two places simultaneously places one in a weird mental space of being around the world at once. The time differ ence is nearly 12 hours…
