Large tapestries woven to create stills of municipal construction and postcardsized drawings of unfinished housing make up Lahore artist Risham Syed’s first Indian solo, Metropolyptical: A Tale of a City. The Abraaj Capital Art Prize-winner, whose practice is mainly focused on remnants of cultural/historical inferences and its perception of modern-day Pakistan, inadvertently brings similarities between Lahore and Mumbai to the fore.
