Many congratulations to Amol K Patil for his selection as the first recipient of the DBF-KMB Award, a multi-year exhibition and lecture programme at the Hayward gallery in London. This is the first iteration of the DBF-KMB Award, as the Durjoy Bangladesh Foundation partners with Hayward Gallery in London, UK, and the Kochi Biennale Foundation in India to support contemporary art from South Asia.
As part of the award, Hayward Gallery will host Amol’s first institutional solo exhibition in the UK at their Heni Project Space from 9 October to 19 November 2023.
Patil was selected on the strength of his project, ‘The Politics of Skin and Movement’, presented at the fifth edition of the Kochi-Muziris Biennale.
