ONA Foundation (Hemali Bhuta, Janaa & Shreyas Karle) presents a two part exhibition at Serendipity Arts Festival 2024 till 22 December 2024.
Part I: DIORAMA FOR AN EXHIBITION
a window S.H.O.P. {Seeing Has Other Purpose} at Old GMC, Panaji
The display at Old GMC (Panjim) is a stairwell room with the flight of stairs stacked with objects, drawings and projection. The assemblage on the structure is brought together by the participating artists, who have either been part of CONA’s programming in the past or are currently associated with it. The objects, both saleable and nonsalable are trapped in the narrative of the closed shop.
Part II: DWELLING FOR A DIORAMA

Divar Island, Goa
The foundation space is already active with multiple workshops and day sessions (listening, singing, drawing, wood-making, cooking, reading, writing and Janaa’s home schooling) happening is sync with the domestic pace of CONA’s home. Unlike the shop, these interactions are non- transactional and participatory.
In fact, they arise from the need to get together allowing the entering and exiting the space at free will.
These two spaces stand on two ends of the same spectrum- one being a shop that cannot sell and the other being a workspace that operates in a non-monetary value system.
