We invite you to the finissage of Pallavi Paul’s solo show The Heart of the Heart. This event acknowledges virtual fatigue, inviting an intimate and inseparable engagement with two voices and the filmic substance as a contact zone that unravels as rumor, testimonial fragment and riddle.
The ‘essay conversation’, Circumstantial Images: Everything is Rumor between curator and writer Natasha Ginwala and the artist, will be followed by a discursive intervention by curator Sabih Ahmed— both long-time interlocutors of her practice. Formally plotted as an experience on the intersection of a listening session, an essay film, a podcast, and a live conversation the participants take the current show at project88 as a point of departure to delve into the larger weave of ideas informing Paul’s practice over the years.
